Barefoot Trainers is a learning and development organisation that delivers high-quality training and coaching across a wide range of leadership and interpersonal skills. We work with a trusted network of professional trainers, coaches, psychologists, and industry experts to create sessions that are challenging, thought-provoking, and engaging — all delivered in a relaxed, fully interactive, and safe learning environment.

 

The company was founded in 2015 by Louise Turner, following a successful career in the training sector. With over 25 years of experience, Louise has worked extensively with both groups and individuals, helping them to build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their personal and professional goals. Her career began in the hospitality industry, where she was part of the management team at two well-known London hotels. After returning to the UK from time abroad, she also ran her own childcare business for nearly a decade and has played an active role in a variety of voluntary sector initiatives.

Louise is a qualified coach with accreditations in Personal Performance Coaching and Corporate & Executive Coaching through The Coaching Academy, alongside a Level 7 ILM Award in Strategic Leadership. She is also an accredited DISC personality profiling trainer and is committed to continuous professional development.

 

Our Chief Operating Officer, Matt Busby, brings a global perspective to Barefoot Trainers. A dual UK-US citizen, Matt lived and worked in California for 11 years and later spent 18 months in Singapore, where he launched and led a regional office. His career spans several senior roles, including Director of Business Development and Chief Development Officer for media and technology companies serving the luxury hospitality and travel sectors. He has managed international business development and sales teams, overseen cross-departmental projects, and consistently demonstrated strong leadership across cultures and industries.
